For those vocational trainers interesting in the applications of social bookmarking here is a good example.
Training O2 lists the units of competence from Australian Training Packages and allows registered users (students or trainers) to “add links to online resources, rate those left by others, post comments, create quiz questions and test your knowledge”. The idea is that resource links that rate highly rise to the top of the list, thus saving teachers and students time in finding good resources for the units they’re interested in.
It doesn’t appear that the site has been around for long as there aren’t many resources yet but the idea is good, if only teachers found out about it, so spread the word.
